New Features
We'd like to share some of the new features that we've pushed to the site in the past few weeks, and features that we'll be releasing very soon.
Languages and Internationalization: We now support multiple languages in our web interface. We've started out with English and Spanish. The Spanish translation is still a missing large parts of the site, but most of the important parts of the interface have been internationalized already. The next language is going to be Portuguese, translated by Alex Marcondes.
Redesigned Homepage: We've done some great graphics work, and our previously bare homepage is now a bit more colourful. We're going to work on improving it even more in the future by embedding the "Getting Started" screencast, including customer testimonials, and more. If you have any comments about it, talk to us on Twitter.
Improved Device Manager: The device manager is better than ever now. There's now a search form for when you have an overwhelmingly large number of devices registered, and we've included a few intuitive keyboard shortcuts to help you work quicker while using the interface. We're still tweaking the design, so that may change over the next few weeks.
Broadcast Notifications: We now support the ability to send a broadcast notification to every single active device registered to your application. It's currently available as an API, read our API documentation for more information on that. We're working on adding support for sending broadcast notifications through the web interface, so look for that in the near future.
Collaborators: We're working on letting owners of an application on Pushy to specify collaborators. Collaborators are able to view the application while logged into their account, and they can use the device manager and have access to API keys. This is really useful if you're developing an iPhone application with a team of developers, as they can now have access to your Pushy application using their own accounts instead of having to all login using one account. We're excited to launch this feature, and you'll see it in the coming weeks.
We hope these features will make your Pushy experience more enjoyable and productive, and we're glad to have you sending your push notifications with us!
Thanks,
Charlie Melbye, Project Manager
